| Sonia
Delaunay and Josef Albers |
| Sonia Delaunay and Josef Albers are known to the artists who
have got strong interests in vivid color. In Paris, Sonia Delaunay (Russia,
1885-1979) joined the art movement " Abstraction Creation " with her husband,
a famous painter Robert Delaunay. Meanwhile, Josef Albers (Germany, 1888-1976)
settled in the United States and went forward to the geometric abstraction,
after teaching at Bauhaus. Now we focus on two artists of colors in the
stream from Modern to Contemporary art. |
| |
| Joan
Miro, Roberto Matta and the Surrealists. |
| Surrealism is the most important art movement in the 20th
century. This movement was quickly spread to Europe and United States. In
this opportunity, we introduce Georgio de Chirico as a great pioneer of
this movement, Joan Miro, Andre Masson, Roberto Matta and so on. |
